Ontario conducted new draws under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on April 1, 2026, targeting candidates in the mining industry across three Employer Job Offer streams.
The invitations were issued under the Foreign Worker, International Student, and In-Demand Skills streams as part of a sector-specific selection approach.
In this round, 372 invitations were issued under the Foreign Worker Stream, 355 under the International Student Stream, and 32 under the In-Demand Skills Stream.
This targeted draw highlights Ontario’s continued focus on addressing labour shortages in key industries such as mining.
So far in 2026, Ontario has issued a total of 6,343 invitations, reflecting a strategic and sector-driven approach to immigration selection.
