Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program and Atlantic Immigration Program have conducted their third round of invitations in 2026, continuing the province’s targeted approach to economic immigration.

On April 13, 2026, Newfoundland and Labrador issued a total of 210 invitations through its Enhanced Expression of Interest (EOI) system. Of these, 177 invitations were issued under the NLPNP, while 33 candidates were invited through the AIP.

The latest draw focused on candidates who align with the province’s labour market demands, reinforcing Newfoundland and Labrador’s strategy of selecting skilled workers who can contribute to key sectors and support regional growth.

So far in 2026, the province has issued 900 invitations across both programs, maintaining a consistent pace compared to previous years. This steady selection trend highlights the province’s commitment to addressing workforce shortages and strengthening its economic development through immigration.

These draws demonstrate Newfoundland and Labrador’s continued emphasis on targeted immigration pathways, ensuring that selected candidates meet evolving labour market needs while supporting long-term population growth.

The NLPNP and AIP remain essential tools for the province to attract skilled talent, particularly in industries facing persistent demand, helping employers fill critical roles and sustain economic momentum.
