Newfoundland and Labrador has conducted its first immigration draws of 2026, inviting hundreds of candidates through key provincial pathways.

On March 6, 2026, the province held the first selection rounds through its Enhanced Expression of Interest (EOI) system, issuing a total of 445 invitations to immigration candidates.

Of these, 362 invitations were issued through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), while 83 invitations were issued under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

Both programs continue to play an important role in addressing labour shortages and supporting economic growth across the province.

In 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador issued 3,376 invitations through the NLPNP and AIP combined, highlighting the continued importance of these immigration pathways for employers and skilled workers in the province.
